The Foggia State Police arrested 3 people following the discovery of an arsenal of weapons in the availability of an unsuspected family.
The Flying Squad, in recent days, has subjected an injured bouncer, aged 37, to arrest for the attempted murder of a young boy from Lucera who was shot in the back of the head, after a violent discussion at the exit of a nightclub.
The certainty that the subject had attempted to kill the young victim with a gunshot occurred yesterday morning, when the doctors, at the end of surgery, extracted an ogive from the victim's broken jaw.
The activity of the Flying Squad continued also in the following hours and concentrated on frequenting the bouncer, in order to verify the involvement of third parties. The investigations made it possible to verify that the same, immediately after the attack, had been checked with a young man with a clean record from Foggia, against whom a search was carried out which allowed the discovery of a telescopic truncheon. Further searches carried out in his homes and family members have allowed the discovery of a real arsenal, or nr. 2 pistols cal. 9 × 21 with abraded serial number and relative magazines, nr. 2 revolvers cal. 38, no. 1 semiautomatic pistol with attached magazine stocked with three shots, Nr. 1 modified pistol pen cal. 22, no. 1 similarma, nr. 1 silencer, Nr. 1 barrel cal. 7.65, no. 1 bulletproof vest and a hundred cartridges of various calibers.
The investigative activity made it possible to ascertain that in the availability of the arsenal of weapons the parents of the youngster were fully aware that during the arrest of the son, fearing a search by the investigators, they had proceeded to move the weapons from a place of their relevance to another place.
Further investigations are underway to clarify whether among the weapons found there is that used for the attempted murder.
