The State Police of Pistoia has arrested three foreign citizens for illicit brokering and exploitation of the work and has seized four vans with which they transported labor to the workplace: vineyards and olive groves located in the provinces of Pistoia, Prato, Florence, Siena, Lucca, Arezzo and Pisa.

During the operation, two commercial studies of Pistoia were searched for by a labor consultant, reported in a state of freedom, who was responsible for the management of invoices and the registration of some work positions in the database of the National Political Agency. Moreover, through a fraudulent procedure, he was able to obtain the issuing of the Single Document of Contributing Regularity (DURC) despite the fact that he did not submit contributory complaints to the INPS.

Finally, three other people, two foreigners and one Italian who took part in the illicit activity were reported in a state of freedom for the same crime.

The laborers, mostly African asylum seekers, were employed in black and without insurance coverage, without any increase for the extraordinary hours or for the work carried out on a public holiday. They also traveled, in dangerous conditions, locked up with a PVC sheet to avoid attracting attention and possible checks by the police.
