The Verona Traffic Police carried out 5 orders for precautionary custody (4 in prison one at home), between Verona, Salerno and Milan, against as many people accused of criminal association aimed at frauds, embezzlement and receiving stolen goods.
The system was as simple as it was brilliant and rewarding: the scammers had registered a trucking company on the market at a disagreeable price (about half the market value).
Once the contract for goods transport was obtained from companies and distributors, they presented themselves with regular bubbles to pick up the load and then disappear.
Thanks also to the use of social networks by truck drivers, the State Police managed to recover two loads worth more than 150.000 euro and to start an investigation that ended with the issuance of a precautionary custody order issued by police officers. Verona.
