The Crotone State Police concluded the investigations related to the murder of Giovanni TERSIGNI, murdered on the evening of the 7 September in the center not far from his home. The police detained four people held responsible for the ambush, while another subject is already detained, as he was arrested in the hours following the murder of TERSIGNI because he was in possession of a kilo of heroin. The four people were identified thanks to the investigative work carried out by the Flying Squad which allowed, also through the vision of numerous cameras of the city, to identify the group involved in the murder and, subsequently, to collect numerous elements against the same components that they have confirmed their responsibilities.
It was also ascertained that two people arrived from Catanzaro by car, then went, in the early afternoon, to the home of one of the arrested subjects from which, a few minutes before the murder, four members of the group, partially misrepresented, came out. Then the first three headed towards the square where the TERSIGNI was located, while another subject, identified as principal, had first moved away and then reappeared in the square at the time of the ambush.
The images of the cameras allowed to reconstruct the escape of the group that, having disappeared through the city streets, had got rid of the weapon used to hit the victim to death. Finally, the two Catanzaro families returned to their province. In the following hours the first member had already been traced by the Police, recognized as the one who had materially tried to get rid of the 7.65 caliber pistol, used to commit the crime.
