State Police arrest gang of serial robbers. "Operation Black Night"

The State Police of Brescia has arrested three non-EU citizens responsible for at least twelve robberies committed in the city center. They always acted late at night, taking advantage of the semi-deserted streets and assaulting victims about to go to work, as confectioners or workers, or young people returning from leisure activities. The group acted with extreme violence, threatening the victims with knives and malmenandole, causing them serious injuries for a loot of a few euros or some cell phone.

The investigations, conducted by the Mobile Squad and coordinated by the Procura della Repubblica di Brescia, have developed through a meticulous analysis of the single criminal incidents that have made it possible to tighten the circle around the three. Two are of Tunisian nationality and one of Senegalese nationalities, all irregular on the national territory, homeless, and with several penalties.

The GIP, in the past few hours, has validated the arrests and ordered the measure of pre-trial detention in custody of the suspects.

Further details will be provided during a press conference to be held at 11.00 at the Brescia Police Headquarters.
