The verifications of compliance with ministerial and local regulations for the containment of the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19 implemented by the Local Police of Naples on Thursday 23 April saw 377 agents and officers on the street employed throughout the city.
There are 2517 controlled subjects, of which 1479 on board vehicles.
The patrols have recorded 8 subjects pursuant to Art. 4 of Legislative Decree 19/2020 since they lack proven needs. The sanction for violators of € 400 also provided for the reporting to the local ASL for fiduciary isolation provided for a minimum of 14 days.
In carrying out the control activities, in the Agnano area, the Agents of the Territorial Operative Unit denounced and sanctioned a person who had forced the checkpoint with their car, resulting in a chase started in Via Agnano Astroni and ended after several kilometers in the Municipality of Pozzuoli. The car ended the race by impacting a bus without causing injury to people as the passengers had just got off. The man, with several criminal records, also turned out without a driving license and the car was subjected to seizure.
In addition, 602 checks were carried out at public establishments for compliance with the safety distances, for the prohibition of assembly and for verifying the appropriate certification of disinfection of the premises, in addition to the prescribed suspension of activities.
The Command has also arranged specific checks for the subjects that have been reported and are currently in a home trustee isolation regime. Among these, we would like to point out the activity of the Tourist Police Unit which checked 40 subjects, in their own homes, included in the list prepared by the Regional Crisis Unit to verify their regular stay at home. In particular, these are people who, upon notification by the car rental companies, have returned the vehicles hired outside the regional territory. None of these revealed irregularities regarding home stay.
