🎤 Russia: terrorists threaten the next world cup

A group of jihadist terrorists circulated two posters on social media relating to a threatening propaganda against Moscow; they urge followers to target the World Cup to be held in June and July in Russia.

On Thursday 3 and Friday 4 May, the propaganda of the Islamic State has spread on the Internet two posters with macabre and threatening content. To make it known, in both cases, was Site, the association that monitors the online activity of Islamic terrorists. In the first red-tinted image, you see a Russian stadium in the background, and in the foreground the logo of the FIFA 2018 World Cup that is torn by a dagger. A little further down, a French slogan reads in block letters: "Coupe du Monde 2018 - Tuez-les tous", ie: "2018 World Cup, kill them all". The Islamic terrorist organization officially activated its propaganda in view of the tournament. "Kill them all" is the chilling message accompanying a poster made known by Site, with the knife that breaks through the World Cup. In the second image spread the next day, the interior of a burning stadium is depicted and a player from behind that, instead of a soccer ball, holds a bomb triggered to him. The slogan of this second ministration poster reads: "Coupe du Monde 2018 - Une coupe explosive", that is: "2018 World Cup, an explosive cup".

These are not the first intimidating signs made by the terrorist group. Already in April, a poster depicting a team made up of ISIS members, armed with Soviet AK47 assault rifles, had been broadcast online by the Islamic State, and more precisely by some of its terrorist cells operating in Indonesia. alongside the Russian selection. “Islamic State VS Russia: life or death” - ISIS versus Russia, life or death - was the caption of the image on that occasion. A second poster showed a hand ready to trigger a grenade in the background of a crowded stadium, with the words “Wait for us”, that is: “wait for us”. To this message was added another one explicitly addressed to the Russian president, Vladimir Putin: “Putin, you are an unbeliever. You will pay for killing Muslims ”. In March, however, an image was circulated by the jihadist group in which the Argentine footballer Lionel Messi was forced to his knees by an armed terrorist.

The threat is probably connected to the support that the Putin government offers to the Syrian regime of President Bashar Al-Assad, who is actively engaged in the fight against terrorism of the Islamic State. The Russian secret services are working at full speed to secure the world championship. The World Cup football matches will be played in various Russian locations starting from the 14 in June up to the 15 in July 2018.
