In the historic setting of the Military Academy of Modena, this morning the Official Pupils of the 199th "Dare" course, took an oath of loyalty to the Italian Republic, in the presence of the Chief of Defense Staff, General Claudio Graziano, the Head of State Major of the Army, General of the Army Corps Danilo Errico, of the Commander General of the Carabinieri, General of the Army Corps Giovanni Nistri, of the godfather of the 199 ° Course "Osare", the General of the Army Corps Rosario Aiosa, Gold Medal for Military Valor, as well as numerous civil, military and religious authorities.
In his speech, the Chief of Defense Staff, after saying goodbye to all the intervening authorities and the many family members who had come to the event, said: "Today's official students of all the Armed Forces in their careers will certainly often work at the abroad, in complex operations, many times with colleagues from other countries and in a world that is becoming increasingly competitive, they will have to contribute with the facts to gain and consolidate the prestige of Italy ".
The Chief of Staff of the Army, General Errico, addressing the young Official Students pointed out: "I guarantee you, from experience, that this is the most beautiful job there is and today, at the end of my career, I see myself again you, full of expectations and hopes in facing a life with stars to be discovered and built. I am sure that, as happened to me, it will not disappoint you! ".
The 199 ° "Osare" course consists of 220 Official Students, of which 22 foreigners and 198 Italians coming for 25% from the North, 27% from the Center, 36% from the South and 12% Islands.
The Military Academy of Modena, established the 1 January of 1678 with the name of Reale Accademia, is today the military training institute of a university character responsible for the initial formation of future officers of weapons and doctors of the normal role of the Italian Army and of the Arma dei Carabinieri, in a course of study that will lead to the attainment of the degree in Strategic Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Surgery, Veterinary or Pharmaceutical and Jurisprudence.
