United Arab Emirates and France sign an agreement for space exploration

The United Arab Emirates (United Arab Emirates) and France have signed an agreement on cooperation in space exploration.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the ruler of Dubai, and French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe attended the signing ceremony between the UAE Space Agency and the National Center French for space studies.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 2018 three-day world government summit, which began on Sunday in Dubai. The two leaders praised the signing of the agreement, adding that it is the first step to pave the way for future cooperation in space. Also during the summit, held under the theme "Modeling future governments", the final projects of Hope, the first interplanetary mission of the Arab world, were unveiled, together with the details of the Mars 2117 plan, which aims to create the first human settlement on Mars and the United Arab Emirates astronaut program.
