The National Institute of Social Security and the Ministry of Health have adopted a convention for the communication of the state of hospitalization of the holders of attendance allowance, attendance allowance, social allowance and social allowance replacing civil invalidity.
Thanks to this agreement, INPS will acquire the information in the possession of the Ministry of Health on the status of hospitalization, in order to operate the verification of the right of benefits in respect of subjects who do not have the required declaration of responsibility and the control of the truthfulness of the statements or certifications presented.
Hospitalization in facilities with charges borne by the NHS (with a duration of more than 29 days), in fact, implies the suspension or reduction of some services provided by the Institute.
The data acquired will make it possible to reduce the obligations for citizens, as the information relating to free admissions - which are currently transmitted by users to INPS through the presentation of the Civil Invalidity Hospitalization Model (ICRIC) - will be taken directly by the Ministry of Health at 'Institute.
This will allow INPS to save up to 9 million per year, currently spent on the service offered by CAF in relation to the presentation of the ICRIC modules.
Furthermore, the simplification permitted by the protocol will facilitate the Institute in the fight against abuse.
