South Korea, anti-missile shield ready

South Korea has announced that it has completed the "provisional" installation of the US-made anti-missile shield in the south-east of the country to counter the North Korean missile threat and is asking for talks with the countries affected by the deployment of the system weapon. In the morning, the Seoul Ministry of Defense announced that four new interceptors have been added to the existing plant, in addition to the two already operational and the existing radar station in Seongju, in southeastern South Korea. deployment of the Thaad (Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense system) has generated the protest of the residents of Seongju, who for months have opposed the installation of the anti-missile shield on a former golf course.
