Run for Autism Europe, September 10 in Rome

On Sunday 10 September the 'Run for autism Europe' will take place in Rome, the 10 km race promoted by the Filippide Project to raise awareness of the social problem of autism which, this year, is part of the Ecap-European competition for autistic people funded by the European Erasmus Plus + call. On the streets of Rome there will be over 700 autistic children from all over Italy and from 12 other European countries, who will be accompanied during the race by 1.800 runners, including several specialized operators of the Filippide Project. The departure will be given at 9.30 from the Paolo Rosi stadium by the fanfare of the bersaglieri of Rome 'Nullis secundus', then the participants will run along the Tiber to return to the Paolo Rosi, concluding the test with the lap. Combined with the competitive test there will also be a non-competitive 2,5 kilometer race open to all. Inside the stadium, then, there will be games and entertainment to make citizens share moments of sociality together with autistic children from all over Europe. The top athlete of the Filippide Project, Camilla Ferlito, Italian Fisdir champion of 400 floors and 400 obstacles will also participate in the race. The 'Run for autism Europe' will be the final appointment of the European project which will begin on Thursday 7 September with the first sporting events on the national territory.
