🎤 Syria - Israeli satellite: presence of Russian Su-57 fighters at the Hmeimim base

The Israeli satellite Eros B has identified two Russian Su-57 fighters at the Syrian air base of Hmeimim. This was reported today by the Israeli newspaper "Haaretz", citing the satellite operator Isi. According to Isi the

Su-57 is not yet fully operational and Russia will probably use Syria as a "playground" to test stealth fighter. In recent days, the Russian press had said that Moscow had strengthened its presence in Syria with several warplanes, including the latest-generation fighters. It is the first time these Russian aircraft have been seen in Syria and it is unclear whether they will be used to carry out operations and are still under development, concludes "Haaretz".

Last February 22, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, said comments on the video that allegedly would resume Russian Su-57 fighters in Syria should be the responsibility of the Moscow Defense Ministry. "This concerns the Ministry of Defense, please," said the Kremlin spokesman, in response to journalists' request for comments. "The president is the commander in chief of the Russian Armed Forces, but this is still a question for the Ministry of Defense," added Peskov. On the same day blogger Wael Al Hussaini published a video in which new fifth-generation Su-57 Russian fighters would be shot near the Khmeimim air base in Syria. The video, taken from the Moscow media, shows the low-level flight with the extended chassis of two aircraft that according to the shape should be Su-57, observed the Russian newspaper.
