The Japanese foreign ministry, through a note on its website, announced that the eighth session of negotiations between Japan and Turkey for the adoption of an economic partnership agreement was concluded yesterday in Ankara.

Keiji Ide was represented by the Japanese delegation for negotiations on free trade and economic partnership, while the Turkish counterpart was represented by the Director General for European Affairs, Murat Yapici.

As reported by the note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two delegations discussed the trade in goods and services, the criteria for indicating the origin of the products, the possible measures to facilitate trade, the protection of property. intellectual and competition, investment and technical barriers to trade.
