According to the Nova agency, Turkey intends to produce unmanned tanks for its Armed Forces. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during a meeting of the Undersecretary for the Defense Industries of Ankara (Sms).

As reported by the Turkish newspaper “Hurriyet”, Erdogan stated that, after developing remotely piloted aircraft, Turkey “will take a step forward” and “must also be able to produce unmanned tanks. In recent months, Erdogan has repeatedly stressed his intention to develop the Turkish defense industry, reiterating its importance during the "Olive Branch" operation, launched by the Ankara Armed Forces on January 20 against Kurdish militias. of the People's Protection Units (YPG) in northern Syria.
