The recommendations of the International Congress of Muslim Communities in Abu Dhabi, which brought together representatives of Islamic minorities from over 8 countries around the world on 9 and 30 May, are reported in the "Recommendations of the International Congress of Muslim Communities"

It speaks of “the start of the World Council of Muslim Communities as an international institution aimed at coordinating the efforts of the institutions of Muslim societies in non-Islamic countries and strengthening their role in achieving a model of civilization that can encourage members of Islamic societies to contribute to the revival of their civil and economic statutes, correcting the stereotypical image of Islam and Muslims, reducing the intellectual gap and cultural between the components of the human community and working to build bridges between its citizens ”.

Among the various points also the need to "address the causes of the spread of extremism and terrorism in all its forms, be they political, social, economic or intellectual, so that it is uprooted and eradicated". Muslim leaders gathered in Abu Dhabi also agreed on the obligation to "prevent contempt or abuse, especially through social media and through all the audio and video platforms of the electronic media ". Following this meeting, "training programs to create a group of leading figures and opinion leadersin the Muslim communities of non-Islamic countries, in order to promote a culture of coexistence and tolerance ".
