A helicopter HH-139A of the 82esimo Center CSAR (Combat Search and Rescue) of the Air Force was alerted to carry out the recovery of an injured woman during an excursion to Monte San Calogero (PA).

The helicopter, ordered by the Air Operations Command of Poggio Renatico, took off from Trapani Airport and first embarked the staff of the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps, to then reach the locality of Monte San Calogero where he carried out the recovery of the traumatized.

After being stabilized by the CNSAS operator, the lady was taken to the HH139A. The crew then headed for the helipad of Boccadifalco airport where the patient was left to the 118 staff.

The helicopter returned to its premises, resuming normal activity, ready for the national SAR alarm.

The 82esimo Center is one of the Departments of the 15esimo Stormo of the Air Force which guarantees, 24 hours on 24, 365 days a year, without interruption, the search and rescue of the flight crews in difficulty, competing, moreover, to activities of public utility such as the search for missing at sea or in the mountains, the emergency medical transport of patients in danger of life and the rescue of serious traumatized, operating in any meteorological condition. Since its establishment until today, the crews of the 15esimo Stormo have saved more life-threatening people than 7200.
