A 17-year-old student stabbed a teacher in the Ettore Majorana high school in Santa Maria a Vico, in the province of Caserta, with a switchblade knife that the young man had brought with him to school. The incident took place around 12 noon. The Italian teacher suffered a wound on his left cheek, sutured at the Maddaloni hospital, and was judged to be curable in 15 days.
The young man, who will turn 18 in December, subjected to arrest by the Carabinieri of the local station, is a resident of Acerra in the province of Naples and allegedly attacked the teacher, Franca Di Blasio, 54, of Montesarchio, in the province of Benevento, for futile reasons due to alleged offenses by the same during class time.
