Decapitated Colombo bust in park in New York

The so-called 'war of the statues', which is fueling the tension in the US for the monuments removed by the Confederate generals (subjects and slavers) of the War of Secession, continues to make innocent victims. Lastly, a bronze bust of Christopher Columbus was beheaded in a park in Yonkers, north of New York. It is only the latest episode in time against Colombo: a statue was vandalized in Texas; the statue of the Genoese in the 1492 discovered America at Columbus Circle in Manhattan, risks; a monument still in Colombo was destroyed in Baltimore. Yesterday the same national day of Columbus Day (the second Monday of October) in Los Angeles was canceled and replaced by the "Indigenous Native People Day", or the feast of the Native Americans or Indians. Colombo was accused of exterminating the Native Americans he found, however, in San Salvador (one of today's Bahamas) and not in the future United States.
