Claire Barber, responsible for Central London Retail and Meadowhall, British Land:

"Eataly's decision to open in Broadgate is a great support for British Land's strategy to create an even more vibrant and international district. Along with the arrival of Elizabeth Line this year and a high-quality commercial space in the 2019 100 Liverpool Street, the presence of Eataly will make Broadgate a must-see destination for Londoners and beyond.

Luca Baffigo, CEO of Eataly:

"Visiting the historic Borough Market in London before inaugurating the first Eataly in Italy was a source of great inspiration for our concept. For this reason, returning to London bringing a place to buy, eat and learn for us is a very important and exciting goal. Being able to bring our idea to life in a place so rich in meaning fills us with satisfaction and stimulates us to create a beautiful Eataly for the city ".
