Citing a statement published yesterday by the Ankara General Staff, the Turkish news agency Anadolu announced that the Turkish air force has "neutralized" 8 positions of the militants of the Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK), during some operations conducted in the north of 'Iraq.

According to the statement of the General Staff, the raids were carried out on some positions of the PKK in the northern regions of Iraq of Zap, Avasin, Basyan and Hakuk. According to Anadolu, the Turkish army did not specify when the operation was launched.

The PKK, considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, resumed the armed struggle in 2015.
