Eni has signed two Exploration and Production contracts with the Republic of Lebanon for the 4 and 9 blocks, located in the deep waters offshore of Lebanon. The blocks were awarded as part of the first international competitive competition launched by the Lebanese authorities for offshore blockades in the country.

The signing of these new contracts paves the way for the exploration of the Lebanese waters and further strengthens the presence of Eni in the Eastern Mediterranean, where the company already operates with exploration and production activities in the offshore area of ​​Egypt and with exploration activities in the offshore Cyprus.

Eni holds a participatory interest in 40% in both Blocks. Total is Operator with a share of 40% while the other partner in the consortium is Novatek with 20%.
