Fiat Chrysler Automobiles ("FCA") (NYSE: FCAU MTA: FCA) announces that the Company is continuing to examine the potential separation of the FCA subsidiary Magneti Marelli SpA ("Magneti Marelli").
The Company's Board of Directors plans to examine in detail the options for this transaction in the second quarter of the 2018, concurrent with the review of the Group's business plan for the 2018-2022. In the meantime, the management will continue its assessment of the possible structures of the transaction in order to maximize the value for FCA shareholders.
There is no guarantee that the examination of the potential separation of Magneti Marelli will result in the decision to undertake the operation or that said operation, once started, will be completed. FCA does not intend to make further communications on the subject until a final decision has been adopted.
