Formia: the weekly market closed the public baths

A delegation of operators and managers of the ANA Provincial of Latina carried out an inspection on Thursday in the area of the weekly market on Thursday to verify the situation of degradation of neglect and degradation in which it has been going for some months.

In the past few weeks they had been the same operators to contact the ANA Secretary of the Nation and the Provincial Managers of the Association to intervene.

However, before asking the Special Commissioner and the competent Authorities to intervene, it seemed useful and right to verify what they had reported and to ascertain the seriousness of the situation.

But no one imagined finding even the public baths of such a large market, inexplicably closed and sealed. Not even a sign of excuses that motivated their closure. Nothing at all.

It was already known the state of degradation in which the toilets were placed, in a state of negligence to the point that they are in fact inaccessible and infrequent both by operators and users. But there was nothing to suggest such a decision that has deprived one of the largest markets in the Province of Latina of the only service available to the 300 operators and users of the market.

Anyone who has taken this decision has shown a total lack of respect towards the ones (who come to the market from the early hours of dawn to carry out their work activity) and to others (to which a discomfort is created in times of need). .

It is therefore unacceptable that a market area that hosts such a high number of operators and that absorbs a large number of users from all the municipalities of the South Pontino is left in a state of neglect by the Municipal Administration.

In the panorama of the hardships and damages that the ANA is denouncing to the national authorities for what is happening in Italy in the markets due to the adverse climatic conditions, we did not expect a municipality to behave like that towards the traders and the citizens.

For this reason the Provincial ANA of Latina sends a heartfelt the Prefectural Commissioner to quickly resolve the problem of toilet facilities to the market and informs that it will request a meeting with the same to address the various problems of the market.
