Iran, at the start the first solar power plant, all Italian pride

Carlo Maresca SpA today inaugurated in Iran the first photovoltaic park built in full equity by an Italian company, the Blue Terra2.

The energy produced by the park 'Blu Terra2' which counts 30mila panels on an area of 20 hectares equal to about 40 football fields has entered the Iranian energy grid last 4 March and will produce 17 million kwh yearly. The Group has invested eight million euros, looked for land, closed the authorization process and received permits to connect to the network in just over eight months. The construction site was closed in six months, using three Italian technicians and all local labor.

Fabio and Maurizio Maresca, managing director and president of Carlo Maresca SpA:

Investing abroad 'throwing' in new adventures is a characteristic of the Italian people and is part of our way of doing business. However, unlike what happens in different European contexts, those state protections that intervene when internal and international crises occur in the countries in which they invest are not active. We have already started the authorization process for another two photovoltaic parks from 100 megawatt each and signed the land contracts. We go forward but we hope that diplomatic relations with Iran come out of the impasse in which they are located and above all that implementation of Invitalia is implemented to protect companies that decide to invest abroad.

The Italian Ambassador to Iran, Mauro Conciatori:

Happy to be here for a concrete action that solidifies the Italian-Iranian friendship. Today's initiative is an extraordinary page of cooperation that adds another chapter to the history of our friendship and to the common prosperity of our peoples. Tanners also recalled how the government acted "on various plans to encourage Iran's willingness to open up to growth and collaboration. In addition to strengthening political dialogue, to support other ambitious initiatives such as this, a subject such as Invitalia Global Investment has been designed to help companies with all the necessary guarantees and hedges.

The inauguration was attended by the vice president of the free zone of Qeshm Alì Yadghar, the general manager of the company Hormozagan that distributes energy to Qeshm Ahmadreza Kahouri and Jafar Mohammadnejad of SATBA, the government agency that manages all renewable energy in Iran. The Iranians proved to be satisfied with the Italian business and are ready to continue the virtuous collaboration that has been created between the two countries, considering the speed and the very high professionalism shown.
