Iraq: Forum Davos, Iraqi Prime Minister Abadi, "let's participate in reconstruction of the country"

   

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi arrived today in Davos in Switzerland for the 48th World Economic Forum. This was announced by the press office of the Prime Minister of Baghdad. “The purpose of our participation (…) is to obtain the contribution of the international community to the reconstruction of Iraq”, says Abadi. To this end, the Iraqi prime minister added, the Baghdad government will present its economic vision, highlighting investment opportunities in Iraq, and will forge relations with international companies for the reconstruction of the country. The Davos Forum was opened by a speech by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister of India focused on the challenges of the contemporary world and the role of his country, a rising power, on the world stage. Climate change, terrorism and protectionism are the main risks highlighted by the Indian premier, who urged leaders to put aside the differences and collaborate in the name of respect for international law.
