Kashmir: a group of militants of the Islamic movement JeM attacks an Indian army base

The death toll continues to rise in the attack, still underway, launched yesterday by a commando of the Islamic separatist movement Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) on an Indian army base near the city of Jammu in the northern state of Jammu & Kashmir.

According to the news agency Ani, the victims are five Indian soldiers, one civilian and four militants, while an unknown number of members of the JeM is still present and is entrenched in the residential area of ​​the military base where, to make it more complex 'action of the Indian anti-terrorist special forces, many dozens of soldiers and their family are blocked.

During the night, according to the media, no shots were heard but the operations to eliminate the residual resistance of the militants were resumed at dawn, in the presence of the commander-in-chief of the Indian army, General Bipin Rawat.
