Sardinia thanks to the Chinese space station

Based on the latest data provided by the Italian Space Agency (ASI), the forecast of re-entry into the atmosphere at 80 km of the Chinese space station Tiangong-1 is estimated for April 2 at 00:44 UTC (Italian time 02.44 on April 2), with a window of uncertainty between an hour and a half and two and a half hours.

Within this time span, the areas of interest for Italy are reduced and from the initial four they pass to one, confirming the potential involvement of the eastern part of the island of Lampedusa in the Sicily region.

The ASI warns that "The reentry forecasts are subject to continuous updates because they are linked to the behavior of the space station itself with respect to the orientation it will assume in space and to the effects that the atmospheric density gives to falling objects, as well as to those related to solar activity ".
