Leonardo delivers the first class ship Al Manama upgraded to the Royal Naval Force of Bahrain

Yesterday during a ceremony held at the Headquarters of the Mina Salman Royal Naval Force in Bahrain, Leonardo delivered the first of the six Al Manama class ships, which are being upgraded with advanced high-tech systems.

The modernization was carried out in advance of the delivery times provided for in the agreement signed in the 2015 which also includes a new weapon control system, training and logistics services.

This is just the latest in a series of successes for Leonardo in Bahrain, where the company has also supplied advanced air traffic control radar systems to improve the safety and efficiency of national airspace management.

Bahrain, as well as other countries in the Gulf region, can be further supported by Leonardo's experience in the field of naval systems, a sector in which the company has a long experience in supplying and updating systems for corvettes, patrol vessels and frigates, and in the land sector, with fully integrated defense solutions and modernization programs.
