Leonardo: innovative protocol Protocol of intent on early retirement with the trade unions

Leonardo and the national trade union organizations have today signed the Protocol of intent on early retirement pursuant to art. 4 Reads 92 / 2012, cd Law Fornero. The agreement will involve 1.100 employees who will accrue the retirement requirements within the maximum time frame of the 4 years following the scheduled outputs in the two-year 2018-2019. A similar table will be opened to extend the measure to managers.

The signing of the agreement inaugurates the important operation to strengthen company skills, as prefigured by Leonardo's 2018 - 2022 Industrial Plan, to increase the competitiveness and profitability of the company and the individual divisions.

The objective of the maneuver is to preserve the capacity and production continuity of the individual sites, ensuring the maintenance of key skills and developing new ones. Parallel to the efficiency process, in fact, the company plans to start a cycle of new hires, compatibly with the available economic resources and in line with the objectives and needs of the business.

"The agreement is strategic to support the process of technological transformation and sustainable development of the company", commented Alessandro Profumo, Leonardo's Managing Director. "The Protocol is an important step for the full implementation of the 2018 - 2022 Industrial Plan through the maintenance of skills and the inclusion of new profiles to meet the evolution of the market".

It is foreseen the launch of comparison tables, at divisional level and of subsidiaries, to define the operational details, in relation to the company needs and to the maturity of the access requirements. The operation will take place during the two-year period 2018-2019 ensuring the correct transfer of knowledge and skills in the period between the signing of the agreement and that of the effective resolution.
