Maria, "potentially catastrophic" hurricane

   

The US Hurricane Center has reported that Hurricane "Maria" is potentially becoming a catastrophic 5 storm category as it heads to the Caribbean island of the Dominican Republic.

The note published by the well-known Center reads: "Mary potentially becomes a catastrophic hurricane of the 5 category ... and the center approaches the Dominican Republic".

According to the Hurricane Center, Mary maintains, constantly, twenty 160 miles per hour; it is the fourth strong hurricane recorded in this year in the Atlantic basin and comes almost a week after Hurricane Irma devastated numerous Caribbean islands and the southeastern part of the United States that caused more than 80 deaths.
