May chased by MEPs, we need to stay in the single market

Twenty British MEPs have told Prime Minister Theresa May that the UK remains within the single market and the European customs union. The group includes three Conservative MEPs and the majority of Labor MEPs in Brussels. In their open letter, the 20 MEPs argue that with the exit from the single market, Great Britain would see its economic conditions worsen and it would be a "poorer" country. "The best way to ensure Britain's prosperity would be to remain close to Europe, within the single market and customs union," write MEPs, supporters of the 'Open Britain' campaign. The group also suggests that British voters have a chance to rule on Brexit again. “People have every right to rethink whether the Brexit path taken by our government is the right one for our country”, reads the letter from the Guardian.
