Airbus today delivered the first A350-1000 widebody aircraft to the customer Qatar Airways in Toulouse. This is the first aircraft of the 37 A350-1000 ordered. The first Airbus aircraft fitted with the revolutionary Osuite armchairs, the first business class double bed. Qatar Airways is the most important customer of the Airbus A350 XWB family with 76 ordered aircraft and is also the most important customer of A350-1000.

The A350-1000 fits seamlessly into Qatar Airways' growing fleet which today includes 20 A350-900 aircraft. The two aircraft are complementary, ensure maximum integration, the best operational efficiency and, thanks to the Airspace cabin, an exclusive flight experience for passengers. The latter will in fact benefit from greater space, optimized cabin pressure, greater fresh air exchange, controlled temperature and humidity, integrated connectivity and the latest generation in terms of on-board entertainment systems.

The A350-1000 is the ideal aircraft to showcase the legendary level of service that characterizes Qatar Airways. With greater carrying capacity than the A350-900, the new widebody aircraft will play an important role on high-traffic routes and help consolidate the carrier's leadership in the aviation industry.
The A350-1000 is the latest addition and is the largest dual-aisle widebody aircraft made by Airbus. With a 7 meter longer fuselage, the A350-1000 provides 40% more space for the premium class than the smaller A350-900. In the configuration chosen by Qatar Airways, the A350-1000 offers 44 additional seats. It is a long-range aircraft with a flight range of 8.000 nautical miles (14.800 km).
The A350-1000 features a modified wing profile, a new six-wheeled landing gear and powerful Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines. As with the A350-900, thanks to the latest generation aerodynamics, design and use of the most advanced technologies, the A350-1000 also ensures a 25% saving on operating costs compared to competing aircraft.
