Apple's Siri could "scream" your notifications to everyone

Apple Siri with whom you interact every day on topics related to news, weather, music and new movies could rivinarti day by reading your private notifications aloud and even when you're in public or in the office.

The security analysts of Gizmodo claim that the security flaw does not affect iMessage notifications, but can affect some third-party applications such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Slack and Signal.

In general, those who are worried about their privacy will disable the display of incoming notifications on the device lock screen. In fact, the new, new but more problematic iOS OS 11 offers this functionality by default.

For example, if you ask SIRI to read notifications in general, it will first ask you to unlock your phone to complete the operation. But security researchers found that Siri, Apple's voice assistant, still reads hidden notifications aloud even if the device is locked. It means that anyone with physical access to your phone could direct your private messages intended only for you.

Fortunately, all messages or notifications sent to the Apple messaging app, iMessage, are isolated from becoming a victim of this technical error.

What is Siri?

Siri is a virtual assistant from Apple intended to help users by offering simple questions, making recommendations, reading notifications and taking actions by pushing requests to web service providers. Although the technology saw the light in 2010, it was integrated into the iPhone 4S and was released to the market in October 2011. Now, Siri has become an integral part of the ecosystem of Apple devices as it is now used in all new models of iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, AirPods, Apple TV and HomePod.
