The State Police of Modena has executed the search order at the domicile, in the context of a criminal proceeding, against an Italian 46enne, reported in a state of freedom for the crime of aggravated theft.
The man, as a Special Guard Sworn, in service at a logistics company of Modena, has been the author of a series of theft at night against the company.
The investigations were initiated following a complaint filed by the owners of the company, made aware of various shortages of merchandise deposited for sorting and the fact that the alarm system was often added late compared to the scheduled time.
Thanks also to the images of the internal video surveillance system, which is activated in the closing time of the warehouse, the agents went back to the author of the thefts, which took the material from the boxes, sometimes replacing it with other objects of equivalent weight, then close them with adhesive tape in order to restore the original packaging.
The search gave a positive result, since at the domicile of the Sworn Guard and precisely inside a closet, over 380 items of clothing labeled "Maserati" were found for a total value of about 80 thousand euro.
All the stolen goods has been returned to their rightful owner.
