🎤After the latest massacres in the US, NRA supporters look to the Israeli model

According to the newspaper "New York Times", after the recent and dramatic massacres in the United States, politicians and supporters of the arms lobby look with interest at the model Israel as a point of arrival without renouncing the second US amendment.

There are strict gun controls in Israel. Citizens who have a firearm license have undergone military-like training. Weapons are not consid

a hobby, as an instrument of self-defense and, if necessary, a means of protecting oneself from terrorism. Mass shootings are not happening in Israel as happens in the US.

Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas and Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, NRA (the US arms lobby) look to Israel as a possible model to export to the United States.

A 2012 study by Brooklin's SUNY Downstate epidemiologist Janet Rosenbaum revealed that gun ownership in Israel is lower than in the United States. According to data from the Israeli Ministry of Public Security, out of a population of 8,5 million people, about 135 civilians possess a weapon in Israel, of which 37.500 work for private security services. In the US there are 310 million firearms in the hands of civilians, almost one for every adult and child.

If in the United States the possession of a weapon is a constitutionally guaranteed right, in Israel the carrying of weapons is considered a privilege granted, exclusively for reasons of strict necessity, by the Ministry of Public Security.
