The TV series on the murder of Gianni Versace rejected with decision by the family that does not share the contents

It is announced as one of the most anticipated TV series of the 2018, but, as it was for the book that inspired it, it is rejected as "fiction" by the heirs.
Great controversies therefore accompany the eve of "American Crime Story, The Assassination of Gianni Versace". The series, broadcast in the US from next January 17 and in Italy, on Fox Crime screens, starting from the day 19, will tell the tragic death of the Italian designer, 15 1997, on the steps of his Miami villa , murdered by Andrew Cunanan, a homosexual prostitution addict found dead a few days later, on a floating platform in Miami Bay.
The cast is of the highest level, from Penelope Cruz in the role of her longtime friend Donatella, to Edgar Ramirez in that of the Calabrian designer up to Ricky Martina in the role of comrade Antonio D'Amico. In a statement, the Versace states: "The family has not authorized nor has it had any involvement in the television series dedicated to the death of Gianni Versace. Since Versace has not authorized the book from which it is partially covered, and has not taken part in the writing of the screenplay, this television series must be considered a work of fiction ". The series is the second product of Ryan Murphy, who has already signed the OJSimpson case for Fox's yellow channel, and recounts the events related to 15 July 1997, when Andrew Cunanan killed Gianni Versace outside the Miami villa of the stylist. The book that provided the basis for the screenplay is "Vulgar Favors" by the journalist Maureen Orth.
