Yemen: Saudi jet crash, Houthi claim culling

The Armed Forces of Saudi Arabia have reported that a jet crashed "due to a breakdown" during an action in Yemen, and that the two pilots were rescued. The Houthi rebels, on the other hand, claimed responsibility for the aircraft to be shot down in the northern province of Saada, on the border with Saudi Arabia. In a statement from the Saudi-led coalition it is specified that the two pilots did not sustain injuries and were transferred to Saudi soil by land, but it is not clear where the plane crashed. Many Saudi and Emirati jets have crashed into Yemen since the start of the raid campaign against Shiite rebel positions in Yemen in about three years of operations.
