Air Force Military flight flight for two women who urgently needed medical assistance

A medical transport carried out with a Falcon 50 aircraft of the 31st Wing of Ciampino of the Air Force in favor of two women on the Alghero-Bologna route has recently been completed. The first transport had already been planned for a 20-year-old woman who had to be transported to the Imola Hospital, when, shortly before take-off from Ciampino Airport, the request from the Prefecture of Sassari for an IPV transport also arrived (Imminente Danger of Life) again for a 41-year-old woman who had to be quickly transported to the Bellaria Hospital in Bologna. Therefore, the air mission was managed from the Top Situation Room of the Air Squad Command, the operations room of the Air Force from where this type of interventions are coordinated, which had to foresee the presence of two on board the aircraft distinct medical teams who assisted the two patients during all phases of the flight.

The Summit Situation Room is the operations room of the Air Force which has among its tasks that of organizing and managing - in coordination with Prefectures, Hospitals and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - this kind of transport throughout the national territory.

The transport aircraft and helicopters of the Air Force are ready 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, to intervene for public utility missions such as the emergency medical transport of people in imminent danger of life, as happened last night , or that of organs and medical teams for transplants.

The service covers the entire national territory, including the islands, and when requested by the competent authorities it is also carried out in favor of Italian citizens who are abroad.
