Shot down: Ukrainian plane hit by Iranian missile

Donald Trump"Someone on the other side may have made a mistake", the prime minister Justin Trudeau: "The plane was shot down by an Iranian ground-to-air missile". These are the two statements, supported by the clues provided by American intelligence that thanks to satellite surveys they would have identified the firing of a Russian-made surface-to-air missile that would have hit a part of the fuselage of the Boeing 737-800 of Ukraine International Airlines, just took off from Tehran. All deaths 176 people on board, including 63 Canadians. Tehran admitted involvement in the affair: "we will hit the guilty"Sources from EASA, the European Aviation Safety Agency, report to Corriere della Sera that the one in Washington is a reconstruction that coincides with the material available to the secret services.

Air traffic in that area has been restricted by some Western airlines. After analyzing the satellite images available, the Americans noticed the turning on of the radar, the launch of at least one missile, its wake and the glow caused by the impact with the Boeing.

This reconstruction is supported by the absence of any emergency communication from the cockpit. What continues to be unclear is how the aircraft managed to proceed for another three minutes and veer right to head towards the Tehran airport.

From the private company Aireon they confirm that they have sent to the competent authorities the data collected on the movements of the plane until impact. The black boxes are in the hands of the Iranian civil aviation body which yesterday with a preliminary three-page report confirmed that the Boeing veered right after a problem and headed for the airport at the time of the crash. Iran has already made it known that it will not send the black boxes to the US.
