ABI President Antonio Patuelli expressed his deep appreciation for the speech by the Governor of the Bank of Italy at the Forex Congress, which above all indicated public and private investments for development as the main way out of the criticalities due to the pandemic and inherited from previous crises.
In this context - President Patuelli underlined - the appreciation of Governor Visco for the efforts of the banks in Italy is very significant, which have expanded the loan offers, strengthened the capital solidity, reduced the stocks of non-performing loans and significantly increased prudential provisions on performing loans.
Now - concluded President Patuelli - it is necessary that the financial emergency measures, implemented by the European and national authorities, are not interrupted before the end of the pandemic.
