ABI: Supports the diffusion of culture

Presented the results of the study on the activities and the audience of the Creative Culture Festival

In the broad and articulated "Action Plan" in support of art and culture, developed by Abi with banks operating in Italy, the Creative Culture Festival The aim is to bring young people of 6 and 13 years closer to culture, stimulating creativity and critical thinking. This year's event was also an opportunity to carry out a scientific research on the contribution that initiatives such as these can give to the cultural and creative growth of the children, curated by prof. Guido Guerzoni of Bocconi with the preface of Giovanni Sabatini, General Manager of the Abi.

“Creativity and culture - writes Sabatini in the preface of the research - represent the wealth of a society. Providing young people with the tools to access culture, promoting their active citizenship and stimulating their design creativity, is one of the prerequisites for developing innovation and growth in our country. "

The study highlights how events such as the Creative Culture Festival offer children and teenagers the opportunity to experience new ways of effective and fun learning.

In particular, the young participants especially appreciate the possibility of knowing new things (45,3%) and of comparing themselves with others (27%). For adults - educators, teachers and parents - an event such as the Festival, in addition to contributing to the education of children, allows them to relate to their emotions through different forms of culture and to understand points of view different from their own.

Among the objectives of the survey, it is also to explore the views with respect to the impact social and economic, generated by the Festival in the territory. About half of the sample (47%) said the initiative helped consolidate the link with their own territory and city and increase their commitment to valorising their local traditions, including through a richer cultural offer. Parents and teachers have also stated that they are proud of how their community can propose at national and international level and would like the teamwork activated during the Festival to be repeated on other occasions.

Finally, the interviewees stated that the Festival helped devote more time to follow other cultural activities promoted in the area, visit museums and galleries, and deepen the knowledge of the themes presented at the Festival.
