Abi: stop rate of loans for families in difficulty until July 2018

The ABI-consumer associations agreement on the “Suspension of the principal amount of loans to households” was extended until 31 July 2018. This was announced by the ABI which takes stock of the periodic monitoring of the sustainability instrument of the installments in favor of the families involved. Implemented in March 2015, the new moratorium for 12 months on the principal portion of its loan - between first home mortgage and consumer credit - already affected 2017 families until October 16.642 that were able to suspend installments for a total value of 475 million EUR. The greater liquidity made available during the 12-month suspension was equal to 118 million euros. Applications for consumer finance operations are distributed as follows: in the North (35,7%), Center (23%), South and Islands (41,3%). For mortgages: North (49,3%), Center (26,4%), South and Islands (24,3%).
