Abi, third mission of Italian banks in Tunisia with institutions and companies

Third mission for the ABI and the Italian banks in Tunisia, after those of the 2006 and 2016, to identify and support the commercial and financial operations of Italian entrepreneurs in the high potential sectors of the Tunisian market.

It is the President of the ABI Internationalization Committee, Guido Rosa, who reiterates the support of the Italian banking sector for the internationalization of the national economy, as part of the entrepreneurial mission led by the Minister for Economic Development Luigi Di Maio and organized on the occasion of the Italian-Tunisian intergovernmental summit.

The mission is attended by a delegation of 4 (of the main) banking groups which represents approximately 40% (of the entire Italian banking sector) in terms of total assets: Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, ICCREA, UBI Banca and UniCredit.

"The banks present in our delegation - said Rosa - intend to strengthen relations with local counterparts, identify new ones and increase their activities. The entrepreneurs operating in Tunisia can avail themselves of the assistance of important reference interlocutors. In particular, 2 leading Italian banking groups and the foreign parent company of an Italian bank are already directly present in Tunisia with a representative office. As for the future - concluded Rosa - Italian entrepreneurs can count on the Italian banking sector as a partner to start commercial and productive initiatives in Tunisia. "
