2018 Payments Show: the themes of innovation

After the great success of the first two editions, the Salone dei Pagamenti also confirms for 2018 its innovative format, composed of a rich calendar of conferences and appointments with free admission, from a large exhibition space where to meet, learn and experiment with new solutions from technological partners, and from personalized paths of financial education.

From 7 to 9 November at MiCo-Milano Congressi in Milan, on the occasion of the event organized by ABIServizi and promoted by ABI-Italian Banking Association, in collaboration with Feduf-Foundation for financial education and savings, Consorzio CBI, Consorzio ABI Lab, under the patronage of the Agency for Digital Italy (AgID), there are eight thematic areas around which the Show will develop.

1. The future of global payments

From developments in the Anglo-Saxon countries to the widespread diffusion of mobile micro-payments in China and in Asian countries. From "peer to peer" transactions to "social commerce". What are the current trends, and what will characterize the immediate future of payment services? A voyage of horizon to more voices on global trends, following three guide words of the payments revolution: instantaneous, multi-channel, integrated. At the 2018 Show banks and payment circuits will compare, among others, with international experiences of the world of commerce and luxury markets.

2. Bank (R) evolution

5. Towards a Digital Society

The November 9, the third day of the Payments Exhibition, focuses on the role of the Public Administration as the enabler of a more and more widespread digitalization in relations with citizens and businesses. The Show becomes an opportunity to take stock of the implementation of the Digital Agenda, starting with PagoPA solutions and innovative payments to and from the Public Administration, up to the topic of electronic invoicing.

6. Artificial Intelligence arrives

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, robo-advisory, the evolution of the Internet of things and the changes that this set of technologies bring into everyday life. Algorithms are now very powerful tools for customizing the payment experience, which allow us to provide the user with increasingly exclusive and increasingly exclusive and effective services. But also to retain customer loyalty. How are banks' services changing in this scenario? What technologies are really making a difference? At the show a point on the evolution underway.

7. Blockchain & Cryptocurrencies

Blockchain technologies as a new standard not only for payment systems, but also as trade exchange protocols, transparency on product chains, in global logistics.
