Eni: the day dedicated to Safety, Health and the Environment was held in Milan

Eni has today held in Milan the Day of Safety, Health and the Environment, established with the signing of the Protocol on Health, Safety and Environment of 9 October 2017.

The event was attended by the corporate delegation of Eni SpA, the General and National Secretariats of Filctem CGIL Femca CISL Uiltec UIL, the Workers 'representatives for safety and the environment for the Energy and Oil sector, the Workers' representatives for safety , health and environment for the Chemical sector and the Heads of the Prevention and Protection Service of Eni and its subsidiaries.

During the meeting the performances and the main HSE indicators were analyzed, showing results in continuous improvement in terms of injury reduction, programs dedicated to health, with a specific focus also on the initiatives being implemented, as well as the status progress of the "Eni Smart Safety" Project, which is part of Eni's broader Digital Transformation program, launched experimentally in the industrial sites of Ferrera Erbognone, Viggiano, Brindisi and Sannazzaro de Burgondi. Following the positive experimentation, it was agreed to start the gradual extension during the 2019 to further Eni operational offices.

At the end of the day's work, it was agreed to launch, on an experimental basis, the establishment of the "HSE worker representative of a production site".

The establishment of this figure will allow to increase the HSE culture by increasing the awareness of all the workers present on the production sites and sharing the corporate guidelines on the HSE aspects.

The goal, in the face of important changes underway and the need to oversee the complexities present in production sites, is to achieve a high level of awareness and prevention of all workers involved in Eni's business operations.
