On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, welcomes the first edition de The Legacy of Women, international festival three days long, dedicated to the contribution of women to the progress of humanity.
The project, with the Artistic Direction of Serena Dandini, born from an idea of Elastica which immediately met with the support and sharing of values by the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation of Florence, promoter and supporter of the project together with Elastica itself. They will be three days of appointments dedicated to the theme ofwomen empowerment female through culture and entertainment. With a series of in-depth events and shows, with guests of national and international scope, the Tuscan capital will be the first city in Italy to re-read its artistic identity by enhancing the female figures who have been protagonists. The appointment is for September 21, 22 and 23 and is included as a special project in the rich Summer Fiorentina, strongly wanted in the city by the mayor Nardella.
The initiative, the sister of the Parisian event Les Journes du Matrimoine that since three editions celebrates the cultural heritage of Paris and France through its female protagonists, is designed to give proper recognition to Mothers of the Fatherland, enhancing the contribution of artists, scientists, thinkers, academics, philosophers, architects and other (of the past as of contemporaneity) to the progress of humanity and to the historical, cultural, civil identity of a people, a nation, a city.
The project is sponsored by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and from City of Florence, with the partnership of Gucci and with the contribution of Poste Italiane e Banca CR Firenze del Gruppo Intesa Sanpaolo, in twinning with HF Ile-de-France and with the MèMO Association, the associations that promote the event in Paris.
"Inspirer" of the festival is Anna Maria Luisa de 'Medici, known as thePalatina electric, the first 'Mother of the Fatherland' e Mother of Italian and European Culture ante litteram. THE FORMAT
During the three days of the event, the city of Florence will be animated by a Dense program of events (all free admission) that will see the participation of some of the national and international female excellences coming from the world of moviesand televisionand musicand literature, Science,Entrepreneurship and economyand policy, the sports and journalism.
The rich program will be composed of three types of events: evenings with the special conduct of Serena Dandini, widespread program of initiatives in collaboration with the main Florentine cultural institutions it's a calendar of events OFF.
