“It was my priority that I put my face on and fought for. Today I can finally say that for the seaside world we managed to move something and take home the first victory. The agreement was reached today in the Senate which allows for the extension of the exclusion of the Bolkestein directive to the bathing sector for the next 15 years. We have achieved a first, fundamental objective, as it will allow us to work even better to find a definitive solution and will allow the whales to plan their activities and make the investments they deserve ”. - This is what the Minister of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies, Sen. Gian Marco Centinaio - “The game, however, does not end here. Now my commitment is to continue the technical table with the trade associations to foresee the total exit from Bolkestein. It is a question of the dignity and defense of our country. The European Commission will necessarily have to understand our demands. Today we have shown Italy that this government passes from words to deeds. Tomorrow we will demonstrate it to the whole of Europe ”, concludes the Minister.
