A group of migrants has almost certainly managed to cross the French border aboard a pedal boat stolen from Ventimiglia. The unusual means of transport was found in Cap Martine without showing signs of damage.
The forces involved in border control were certainly focused on controlling the terrestrial borders of Ponte San Ludovico but, distracted by the long-awaited World Championship final and committed to managing the protest organized last Friday by the solidarity associations against borders and new European borders , did not notice the unusual vessel cross the border thus allowing the group of immigrants to enter the French territory after traveling about 25 km.
The pedal boat, which disappeared from a well-known factory in Ventimiglia a few days before, was found by the French Capitol Roquebrune on the beach of Cap Martin, which reported the discovery.
The migrants would have cycled for hours without rest, it is assumed that on board there were from 2 to 5 people.
