The Navy will be present in Naples as part of the event NAPLES SHIPPING WEEK 2018 with a series of cultural and promotional activities, both on land and on board Nave Vespucci and Nave Rizzo.
Now in its third year, the event realized by Propeller Club Port of Naples e Clickutility Team, will be characterized by a series of conferences and meetings open to the entire community of the shipping international to which prestigious speakers from the business, scientific and academic world will contribute, with the aim of confirming the key role of Italy in the development of the cluster and the maritime trade of the Mare Nostrum.
An excellent opportunity to highlight the fundamental role of the Navy in contributing to the security of the national community, to international stability and to the promotion of the "Country System". Through the use of the aeronaval instrument, the Armed Force guarantees presence, surveillance, deterrence and contrast to illicit activities, in support and coordination with the national mercantile cluster. Even more significant values and actions if framed in the millennium just begun, characterized by "blue growth" and by the strong maritime vocation of the country that sees in the sea a resource for commercial, occupational and technological growth.
The rich program of the event was presented this morning at the press in the historic halls of the Gambrinus coffee of Naples. Team Admiral Eduardo Serra, Commander of the Logistic Command of the Navy based in Nisida, during his speech focused on the contribution of the Navy in the current context and on the events promoted by the Armed Forces on the territory, also highlighted the strategic role of the city of Naples and its historical and cultural link with the Navy.
On the occasion of the event, it will also be possible for the citizens and for the school groups to visit the Naval Units on the following days:
